Business Bright Spot

Keep Whitehouse Beautiful is very pleased to recognize Montez Creekside Kitchen with the Business Bright Spot award. They are being recognized for maintaining an inviting business front, litter free parking lot, engaging atmosphere, farm to table eating and caring for our Whitehouse community.
The long front porch is very inviting with a row of unique country chairs and some new tomatoes ready to be planted and made into their yummy pico de gallo and roasted tomato sauce. Their clean parking lot is spacious and accommodates lots of cars for those company parties and family get togethers.
Walking in the front door you will be greeted by Katie or one of the other hostesses behind a beautiful wood carved desk rescued from Mansion on the Hill. All the wood inside the restaurant has been reclaimed and rebuilt into the bar and dining tables. Several lighting fixtures are cleverly upcycled using wagon wheels and industrial mixer paddles. Each dining space is filled with creative and fun repurposed fixtures and decorations. We also appreciate the use of dishes, silverware and cloth napkins which helps reduce landfill waste.
The patio is currently enclosed but the doors and windows will be opened when the weather allows. The patio is very spacious and is available for party rental up to 100 people. Outside next to the patio are picnic tables and fire pits overlooking the water for an enjoyable outdoor dining experience with cornhole games for family and friends fun time.
Owners Gloria Munoz and Mundo Villapudua have big hearts for their staff and customers and understand the importance of community. Server Nick Umbower with his sister Melissa Pullins create beautiful goat milk and loofah soaps, bath bombs, sugar scrubs, lotions and delicious jams in the Montez kitchen from ingredients they grow on their farm in Canton and will soon have microgreens available. Monica, sister in-law of Chef Carlos at 1836 Texas Kitchen, sells her beautiful clay and metal earrings at Montez. Nick is also in charge of the gardens out back that grow herbs and vegetables that are used in their dishes. We love farm to table freshness!
During the recent snowstorms, Gloria and her staff made burritos to have delivered to the first responders and people in need of a hot meal. Gloria and Mundo opened Montez Creekside in 2019 and they say “We truly appreciate our Whitehouse Community!”
Montez is open Tuesday thru Sunday, 4PM – 6PM for Happy Hour and 5PM – 9PM for dinner. They recently began serving lunch Wednesday thru Sunday 10:30AM – 2:00PM.
We are very proud to have this fabulous restaurant in our community!
