Parks & Recreation
The Parks and Recreation Commission consists of 7 members appointed by the
mayor and approved by the
City Council for a term of 3 years. Five members are
to be residents inside the city limits of Whitehouse
with 2 members being
residents within the Whitehouse ISD. The Commission is responsible for:
- Advising the City Manager and City Council of land acquisition,
development, improvement, equipment and maintenance of all parks - Advising the City Manager and City Council of future development
of public parks, playgrounds, and recreational facilities; - Recommend and review parks and recreational grant programs
